What to Expect: Your First Class Breakdown

Before You Arrive:
  • Wear comfortable workout clothes and athletic shoes
  • Bring a water bottle (you'll need it!)
  • Arrive 15 minutes early for a quick facility tour
  • Remember: this is YOUR free class - no pressure, just fun
Your First 10 Minutes: Our trainer will personally greet you and show you around our 3000 sqft facility. You'll see our 13 wavemaster bags, 8 hanging heavy bags, and yes - that 14' boxing ring (don't worry, you won't be sparring!). This isn't about intimidation; it's about showing you the quality equipment that makes your workout safe and effective.
The Warm-Up (7 minutes): We start every class with movement that gets your blood flowing. Think arm circles, light stretching, and basic footwork. Nothing scary - just preparing your body for an amazing workout.
The Main Event: Depending on your class choice:
  • Cardio Boxing/Kickboxing: 8 rounds of 3-minute sessions hitting bags (not people!)
  • Bootcamp: Mix of boxing and strength training
  • Technical Training: Learning proper form and self-defense basics
Cool Down & Core (7 minutes): We end with core strengthening and stretching. Your abs will thank you later!

Boxing Basics: Essential Knowledge

Stance & Footwork: Think of boxing stance like a comfortable athletic position. Your trainer will show you how to stand with one foot slightly forward, knees slightly bent. It's about balance, not aggression.
Basic Punches:
  • Jab: Quick, straight punch with your lead hand
  • Cross: Power punch with your rear hand
  • Hook: Circular punch targeting the side
  • Uppercut: Upward punch
Don't worry about memorizing these now - our trainers will guide you through each movement slowly and safely.
Equipment You'll Use:
  • Heavy bags: These absorb your punches and provide resistance
  • Wavemaster bags: Freestanding bags perfect for beginners
  • Hand wraps/gloves: We'll show you proper wrapping technique for safety
